The summer season in Nicaragua starts in the month of November until April, and is one of the best seasons for the observation of birds. This wonderful experience of birdwatching can be easily found in the environment around Jicaro Island Ecolodge. You can take walks, a boat or a kayaking tour in the vicinity of the hotel and find different species of resident and migratory birds who have found their habitat in the area of the little islands near Granada.

In the vicinity of Jicaro, you can observe: Herons, kingfishers, fly catchers, turquoise-browed motmot (Nicaragua’s national bird), and parakeets.  These are just a few of the many birds that you can hear every morning or in the afternoon singing happily on our little island.

In view of the majestic Mombacho Volcano near the Granada Isletas, Jicaro caters to honeymooners with exceptional food and relaxing spa services.
