Enjoy “Vigoron”, Granada’s typical food, at Jicaro


Our country is full of a very diverse culture, so wherever you go, you will find different types of foods that are rich in flavor.  One such dish is the “Vigoron” typical food of Granada. This is one of those dishes that you do not want to miss during your stay at Jicaro Island Ecolodge.

This dish is prepared with cassava, fried pork (fried pork skin), cabbage salad with tomato and banana vinegar. It is a type of food traditionally served in heliconia leaves (tropical plant) and most of the time people do not use utensils to eat it.
