Painting the Future of Children in Nicaragua

Very recently in Nicaragua, we celebrated the September 15 Independence Day in Central America. Parades and musical bands from local schools were a part of this great civic event nationwide. As part of the celebration of patriot month, the staff and guests of Jicaro Island Ecolodge also participated in activities. Moreover students and parents participated in “painting the future of children” which was to spice up the desks in the blue color of our national flag.

Becky and Ryan, guests at Jicaro, demonstrated their ability to paint and desire to help these children as well.

This time it was the Padre Nello school that is located in the community of the islets. We all participated in order to create a better infrastructure and help build the future of these children. These activities are a part of the programs our sustainability team are working on.

Located on a private island on Lake Nicaragua near Granada, Jicaro Lodge is a boutique hotel offering a variety of tours and activities.
