Traditional Nicaraguan Food at Jicaro Island Ecolodge


El quesillo is a typical Nicaraguan food that is prepared in many cities in Nicaragua. At Jicaro Island Ecolodge our guests can enjoy this rich dish made with tortillas, fresh quesillo, red onion, bell pepper, chili, vinegar and cream. The young couple in the pictures visited some of the villages in the city of Granada and Masaya and tasted  a rich quesillo. They also visited the small market of Monimbo in Masaya city to try some popular foods of the region.
